Father/Daughter Couple. BARF
BETHEL, CT – I couldn’t even get through writing the title of this story without my face twisting into an ugly grimace. BARF.
Tiffany Hartford, 23 and her biological father, George Sayers, have been arrested and charged this week with sexual assault and obscenity. Charges came forward after the DNA results came back because they HAD A BABY TOGETHER. It just can’t get worse.
But wait, there’s more.
Tiffany is a one-time aspiring porn star, who up until 2006 (when she was 17) hadn’t seen her father since she was 3 years old. Her mother had moved her back to Connecticut so that she could be closer to her bio-dad and get to know him better. In 2007, Tiffany’s mother, had even gone to the authorities and tried to tell them about the incestuous relationship, but was ignored. She wanted to list her as a runaway after George took Tiffany to Florida – but police said because she was 18 there was nothing they could do.
‘I said to them, “Even if she was having relations with her father?”‘ It was something Vikki suspected ‘because they insisted on sharing the same bed.’
Ugh.
This all came to a head because an investigation started back in February after Tiffany’s ex-girlfriend told police that George was selling images of the two women having sex. The photos had been taken with Tiffany and the teen’s consent, but the girl said she did not give George permission to sell them.
According to court documents, the ex-girlfriend was introduced to George by Tiffany as her “husband/father”. How disgusting. Tiffany eventually told police that she had dreams of being a porn star – this was before she became pregnant with her father’s child.
The only laughable part of this story is that both Tiffany and George initially denied knowing they were father and daughter and George said at one point he believed that Tiffany was the daughter of his deceased brother. I would beg that Vikki’s version of the story is a bit more believable.
Surprise, surprise… this story does not come to you straight from West Virginia.

To Vikki: Your daughter needs therapy. Not jail. I know this family. I grew up in Bethel. These are not good people. Bethel Police Dept. should’ve investigated your initial complaint. They failed you, and your daughter. You have all been through so much. I pray that you find a way to heal.

Tiffany won’t talk to me, she is standing beside her father, and I am sure him and his family have her brainwashed, I know what they are like, I lived with them for 4 years. I love her and her son even though I have never even met him yet. I just want her to come home.
I am Tiffany Hartford’s mother, and I want to let you hear my side of the story. George has always known he was Tiffany’s father. We have 3 children together. Tiffany, 23, Jessica, 21 and John, 20. He used to abuse me and that was one thing, but when he started physically harming the girls, I left him and moved home to Canada, only to find out I was pregnant with our son. I never slept around on him, I was only with him, when we were together, therefore there’s no chance anyone else fathered any of them. When I was first pregnant with Tiffany, I moved back to Canada, only then finding out I was 4 months pregnant with her. When Tiffany was 4 months old in 1989, George and I got back together, after promising me to be a good guy and help raise our daughter, I moved back to live with him in Bethel. We broke up for a time again when Tiffany was a little over 1. When I arrived home in Canada again, George came and visited me twice. July of 1990 I found out I was expecting our second child. While I was pregnant with Jessica, George had me served with custody papers of our daughter Tiffany and the child I was expecting. I gave birth to Jessica, March 24th, 1991. In April of 1991 I went to court with my 2 yr old and 1 month old to fight for custody. George never even showed up. The Judge granted me full custody with visitation rights for George who then went by the last name of McKinstry, he had it changed to Sayers several years ago. We got back together to try things yet again. He proved to me he had not changed. Then like stated before, when he started abusing the girls I left him for what I thought would be the last time. I arrived home in Canada to find out I was again expecting. Not that it matters, but I was on birth control every time I conceived, I am that less then 1% that it fails with I believe. I gave birth to my handsome son July 4, 1992.
In August 1994 I met and fell in love with Lee Hartford(whom George has also stated as Tiffany’s father according to news articles I have read) We had a daughter Rebecca June 28, 1995. We married October 30, 1995. In July 1997 we had the 3 oldest childrens names changed to Hartford, as to avoid confusion at school with different last names. In May 2006 I found out the man I had been married to for almost 11 years, had been sexually molesting all 4 of my children. I immediately had him arrested and he was charged and scentenced to 26 measly months in jail. He served the time. Turned out the man I trusted and loved with all my heart had been molesting Tiffany since she was at least 8 yrs old til it was found out when Tif was over 17. He molested all of them, but her for the longest time. My heart was broken for the children and for myself. All that I had believed had been lies. It was like having the rug pulled out from under my feet. Yes, I know what the children suffered was much worse then any pain I have felt. He had told each of the children that if they told me or anyone, he would kill either them or me. Each child believed that they were the only one he was harming. I look back now, and yes the signs were there, but I was too blind to see them. I wish I had never met him, then the kids would not have suffered like they did. Social Services in St Stephen New Brunswick Canada, contacted George to tell him what had happened to my family as the 3 oldest were his kids too.(again that’s proof he knew) Him and I got to talking again and he said it was terrible what had happened and we should try to make things work for the children. Social Services took my 3 youngest into custody as I was not in my right mind. After finding out what Lee had done to my children, I pretty much lost it. For at least 6 months I didn’t think rationally at all. I am ashamed to admit I turned to pot and alcohol to forget about what had gone on. I know it was right for Social Services to step in like they did. My oldest was allowed to go where she wanted as she was 17. We decided to go to Connecticut so she could meet the father she had not seen since she was almost 3. I figured the other 3 children were together in a safe place, it should be ok to go for 2 weeks. I was only allowed 1 hour of visitation a week. We went to Bethel Nov 4, 2006, with return tickets for 2 weeks later. George had western unioned the money for tickets to us. We got there and had to stay in an empty house with no heat or water for most of the 2 weeks. I had no common sense or I would have taken Tiffany, turned heel and ran after the 1st night. She wanted to stay to get to know her father and begged me not to go home. I thought, well I certainly would not leave her alone, and again the other 3 kids were together and safe. I stayed. I found a job, and started paying for a motel for the three of us. I worked 12 hour shifts and all my money went towards the motel. I worked from 5 pm to 5 am. I came home after a shift early Jan 26, 2007. They were packing up his mothers car to leave. I tried to get them to stay, but they refused. His mother called the cops on him for stealing the car, I called for Tiffany, trying to have her listed as a runaway. The Bethel Police came to the diner that night and told me where she had turned 18 on New Years, she was no longer a minor and there was nothing I could do. I asked even though I think they are having relations? They insisted on sharing the same bed. Again I was told no, as I had no proof. Approximately 3 months later, his Dad was dying so they came home to Bethel, to my hotel room. Within hours the Bethel Police picked him up for stealing his mom’s car. Sue quickly dropped the charges.
My second oldest daughter ran away from foster care to be with me. She arrived on mothers day 2007. Her and I shared the hotel room together. Tiffany was living with her father at 53 Nashville Rd. In June 2007 DCS came to my room and told me they had been called and told that I was doing coke and selling mine and my daughter’s bodies to pay for our room and support my “habit” On June 4 2007 I was tested and passed the urine and hair strand tests. I told the lady I told you so when she called to tell me my good results. She said I know but we had to investigate as a complaint was made. I told her she should be investigating George and I told her why, even my daughter Jessica thought the same thing. We believed they were sleeping together. They went to 53 Nashville Rd and determined it was false, nothing was amiss. So I had tried the police and dcs, to no affect.
In September 2009, after over 2 years of trying to get her to go back to Canada with me, Jessica went on her own. She had been raped in Bethel and had started cutting herself and refused to go to school or get counselling. I followed her home to Canada and we both have had counselling to deal with our past, probably we could use more though.
Tiffany refused to come home with us, she stayed with her Dad and because she was dating Amanda Bachman, the girl who finally brought all this to light. In 2010 Tif told me she was expecting. I asked her point blank if the child was George’s. She said no. I hoped she was honest with me, but doubted it. When she was 5 months along she called me all excited because she had just found out her child didn’t have downs syndrome. I again questioned who his Dad was. Why would you worry unless there was incest? She said it was just something all babies could carry. She had Brady on June 30, 2011.
My fiance Timothy Roy and I have been both very concerned about her and tried to get her to come home. She has always refused. I always knew something was not right with their relationship, but until Amanda pressed charges, and the police did the dna tests, I had no proof. Now because nobody believed me but close friends, now there has been a baby created. I hate the fact that it took what they created from their union to prove I was right. Tiffany is a good girl, but she has been through way to much and she is only looking for love, to give love and be loved. I believe that since her stepdad raped and molested her almost daily, it just seemed natural when George had sex with her.
I have read so many different articles on this case, but the same is stated in all of them, that I was with several men or that he didn’t believe he was her father. I wasn’t with several men, and he knew 100% that he was her biological father.
My fiance has helped me through a lot of crap. I go Jan 10th, 2013 for my first divorce hearing from Tiffany’s stepfather Lee Hartford.
