February 5, 2010, 53 yr old Gigi Jordan took her, 8 yr old son, Jude Mirra, to a “fancy” hotel, where she administered a combination of prescription medications to cause Lil Jude to overdose.
This story has many twists and turns and, still, after much research I am still confused as to why this mother felt this was the only way. 8 yr old Jude was diagnosed as Autistic, to which his Mother Gigi seemed to search for a cure. Being a multimillion dollar Medical entrepreneur, it would seem that murder would never cross her mind. Ms. Jordan does NOT deny that she murdered her son. She has made statements/allegations against both her first husband and father of Jude, as well as her second husband, for physical abuse threats against her and sexual abuse against her son, that had apparently been going on for some time according to Jordan.
Jordan referred to the murder of her son as a “mercy” killing. Alleging that Jude’s father was threatening to kill her and if he were to succeed that Jude would then be left in the custody of her second husband to whom she has accused of sexual assault of 8 yr old Jude. Both men have denied said allegations, however paid defense doctors state that in fact there were signs of sexual assault. Prosecuting witnesses did not agree, which again brings us back to WHY???
Was Jordan mentally ill?? Did she really believe that allegations that she made? Should we believe her allegations? To me there seems more questions than answers.
Jordan is now awaiting verdict on her trail, charges could be at minimum manslaughter.

I hope and pray that this mother gets that maximum sentence. I have seen many new stories coming out lately where mothers of Autistic children are contemplating the murder of their Autistic child or murder/suicide. Having a child with a disability, of any sort, does not give you (parents) the right to take the LIFE of a CHILD. This woman had more financial resources then most in this type of situation, MURDERING her child was completely SELFISH.
